Shannon Hale is the New York Times best-selling author of over twenty-five children's and young adult novels, including a popular Ever After High series, graphic novel memoir Real Friends, and multiple award winners The Goose Girl, Book of a Thousand Days, and Newbery Honor recipient Princess Academy. She also penned three books for adults, beginning with Austenland, which is now a major motion picture starring Keri Russell. With her husband Dean Hale she co-wrote Eisner-nominated graphic novel Rapunzel's Revenge, illustrated chapter book series The Princess in Black, and two novels about Marvel's unbeatable super hero, Squirrel Girl. They live with their four children near Salt Lake City, Utah.

 

Brandon Mull is the author of the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling Beyonders series and Fablehaven series. He spent two years living in the Atacama Desert of Northern Chile where he learned Spanish and juggling. He once earned a gold medal in a pudding eating contest in the park behind his grandma’s house. He always secretly wanted to write books and is contentedly living his dream.

 

Yamile Méndez is a fútbol-obsessed Argentine-American who loves meteor showers, summer, astrology, and pizza. She lives in Utah with her Puerto Rican husband and their five kids, two adorable dogs, and one majestic cat. An inaugural Walter Dean Myers Grant recipient, she’s also a graduate of Voices of Our Nations (VONA) and the Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA Writing for Children’s and Young Adult program. She’s a PB, MG, and YA author. She’s also the children’s lit guest editor at Hunger Mountain literary journal and a writing mentor.

 

Soman Chainani is a graduate of Harvard University and Columbia University’s MFA Film Program. His debut series, The School for Good and Evil, has sold more than 1.5 million copies and will soon be a film from Universal Pictures. He has been nominated for the Waterstone Prize for Children’s Literature, been named to the Out100, and also received the $100,000 Shasha Grant and the Sun Valley Writer’s Fellowship. Soman lives in New York City.

 

Brendan Reichs is the author of the instant New York Times bestseller Nemesis and its sequels Genesis and Chrysalis, co-author of the six-volume New York Times bestselling Virals series, and coauthor of the middle-grade series The Darkdeep. Brendan sits on the Executive Board for both YALLFEST and YALLWEST literary festivals and has received an MFA in Creative Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. He lives in Charlotte with his wife, son, daughter, and a herd of animals that tear up everything.

 

Ally Condie is the author of the #1 New York Times bestselling Matched trilogy, which has been translated into 30+ languages around the world. She is also the author of The Last Voyage of Poe Blythe, The Darkdeep (co-authored with Brendan Reichs), Atlantia, and Summerlost (an Edgar Award Finalist for Best Juvenile Mystery). A former high school English teacher, Ally has an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. She is the founder and director of the non-profit WriteOut Foundation, and lives with her family outside of Salt Lake City, Utah.
